Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) has asked the government to reschedule the timing for the payment of the second instalment under the amnesty scheme.
In this connection, senior vice president of KCCI Nasir Hamid Khan Wednesday called on Advisor to the Governor, KK Sharma in civil secretariat Jammu, according to a chamber statement.
The advisor was apprised about the need for rescheduling of the scheme in light of the extensions given for submitting the first instalment which was December 14, it said.
"The advisor was requested that suitable gap for submission of second instalment needed to be given to dealers in light of the original schedule which had a gap of twelve months between each instalment. Dealers having deposited the first instalment only a month ago, a majority of dealers were not in a position to submit back to back instalments because of acute financial constraints," it said.
The advisor, according the statement, assured the senior vice president of KCCI that due consideration would be given to the matter.
