KVIB job aspirants smell rat in selection process

Job aspirants for various posts of Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) have accusing authorities of “hiding merit points’ in the recently announced selection list to favor blue-eyed candidates”.

A group of aspirants stated “Competitive written test of KVIB was held from 10 to 13 August, 2017 subsequent to which KVIB published list of shortlisted candidates for interview vide notification KVIB/05 Dated 11.12.2017.”

“The list contained roll numbers of shortlisted candidates only and their merit was not published. We approached secretary KVIB personally and wrote letters for publishing merit but he escaped responsibility by saying that this is handled by controller examination, Secretary to Govt. Law Department.”

“We were very skeptical and thus kept on insisting secretary KVIB for publishing merit list which was not done by them. KVIB issued interview schedule vide notification No. KVIB/Adm/M-585/6779, giving schedule of interviews for various posts to be held from January 27. Surprisingly the department published notification regarding additional candidates shortlisted vides notification No. KVIB/M-585/6813 dated 26.01.2018 i.e just one day before commencement of interviews and issued revised list of shortlisted candidates for interview,” they said.

“This confirms our doubt about fudging the final selection list and same must be reason for not publishing merit of written test. As a matter of fact any competitive written test conducted by PSC or SSB is followed by publishing shortlisted candidate’s along with their merit,” they said.

The aspirants alleged “all is being done to favor selection of relatives of ministers and members of the ruling political party.”
