Ladakhi Kitchen inagurated in Leh

CEC LAHDC Jamyang Tsering Namgyal inaugurated Ladakhi Kitchen which was restored by Leh Development authority through INTACH Chapter Leh at New Shahar Street here. 

A guide book on old town Leh heritage walk was also released by CEC on the occasion. 

   

EC Health, Tsering Sandup, DC Leh Avny Lavasa, Councilor Lower Leh P Wangldan, CEO LDA Zaida Bano, AD Tourism Tsering Angmo, Convener and executive members of INTACH Chapter Leh were present on the occasion.

CEC Namgyal said that restoration of ancient buildings like Basti Haveli is not just revival of culture but it reminds us of what was original Ladakh. 

Basti Haveli has been redesignated as Ladakhi Kitchen. 

CEC stressed on making meaningful utilisation of Ladakhi Kitchen without having any commercial motive. 

EC Health Tsering Sandup gave information about the tourism related projects taken during his tenure as EC Tourism. 

He credited Zaida Bano for her initiatives and hard work in conception and implementation of the projects. 

Convener INTACH Leh Chapter Tsering Angchuk briefed about the execution of Ladakhi Kitchen and also urged to restructure the adjoining area in traditional way to enhance the heritage value of old town, Leh.

Earlier, CEC inaugurated the shopping complex of Leh Development Authority at Katmoche near Indoor Stadium, Leh.
