Intra Kashmir traders on Saturday welcomed the concerns raised by the business chambers of both Kashmir and Jammu regarding the sorry state of affairs of cross LoC trade.
In a statement, chairman LoC traders body, Hilal Ahmad Turki and senior vice president, Samiullah stated that the cross Loc trade needs the attention of the business fraternity of the state.
“Though this trade was started as confidence building measure between India and Pakistan, but this lack of interest it has been reduced to a mere symbolic trade. From 21 tradable items agreed between India and Pakistan, this trade has been left to only 3 to 4 items which is hampering the progress of the trade,” they said.
