Madani, Mansoor, Yawar hail Drabu for presenting ‘welfare’ budget

Peoples Democratic Party leadership continue to hail the Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu for presenting “people-friendly and welfare” budget for the financial year 2018-19.

In separate statements, PDP’s vice president Sartaj Hussain Madni and general secretary Peerzada Mansoor Hussain Suharwardy today termed the budget  “caring and compassionate with relief for one and all”.

Appreciating the Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu for his propeople initiative, Madni said the budget proposal comes as a “good news” to state’s larger majority.

He said the proposals include innovative measures and judicious distribution of resources for all sections of society. There are some historical steps getting relief to labour class, women, youth and employees of the state.

This budget should become a land mark for overall development of the state and its components. He said the glaring past of the budget are the systematic reforms which are bound to bring financial stability and growth to the state.

PDP’s general secretary Peerzada Mansoor said budget encompasses the aspirations of common man and protecting the most vulnerable ones.

“The Budget presented by Drabu is aimed at the welfare of every section of the society including the poorest of the poor, the students, farmers, government employees, traders, businessmen, industrialists, tourism sector, journalists, newspaper owners, women and almost every other section of the society,” Peerzada Mansoor said and added that J&K is slowly heading towards a fiscally prudent and economically stable state with the landmark structural interventions made by the Finance Minister over the past three years.

“We are thankful to Mufti Sahab and Mehbooba Ji for having picked up gifted Drabu Sahab for the key job and with the sheer grit of his economic acumen and hard work, he is working tirelessly for taking J&K towards a real welfare economy,” he said.

MLA Rafiabad Yawar Dilwar Mir, while praising the budget said that Drabu has presented a budget which is considered best so far in J&K with maximum focus on capital expenditure, while keeping in mind the welfare of the employees and business community.
