Leaving the Government red-faced, the Minister for Cooperatives Chering Dorjay on Wednesday shouted in the Legislative Assembly that he should be allowed to respond to the discussion on the demand of grants for his Department. The remarks by the Minister saw many members breaking into laughter.
Soon after the discussion on the demand of grants for Agriculture, Horticulture and Floriculture departments were over and the Ministers of the respective department responded to the discussion, Dorjay stood up and shouted: "Speaker Sahab will you give me chance to speak this time. Last time also I was not allowed to speak."
The remarks by the Minister left many members surprised and soon after, the Speaker, pointing towards Dorjay, said: "Yes you can speak, you continue." "You didn't allow me to speak last time also," the Minister repeated, leaving the Government in tizzy.
At this moment the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who was in the House, pointing towards Dorjay, asked him to make his speech on the discussion over grants for his department.
