A function was held today to felicitate a carpet weaver-cum-dealer, Syed Altaf Hussain, who innovated portable carpet loom.
The function organized by Kashmir Carpet Cluster Development Organization was attended by Joint Director Handicrafts Kashmir Nazir Ahmad Mir, Assistant Director Handicrafts Srinagar Mushtaq Ahmad Shah and SHeikh Aashiq from Carpet Export Promotion Council India.
Besides, the representatives of the Kashmir Carpet Cluster Development Organization were also present on the occasion.
The speakers hailed the efforts of Hussain’s innovation who has brought out the innovated loom for a cost of only Rs 6,000.
