Role of ex-employees invaluable for J&K Bank: Chairman

JThe J&K Bank Retired Employees Welfare Association (REWA) Jammu felicitated chairman and CEO J&K Bank, Parvez Ahmed on its 5th conference here on Thursday.

The function was attended by the bank’s executive president RKChhiber, president Sunil Gupta, vice presidents Sudhir Gupta and ShareeshSharma along with office bearers of the association and a large number ofex-employees of the bank.

   

Speaking on the occasion Parvez Ahmed said, “It is a privilege toacknowledged the huge contribution of retirees who laid the strong foundationof this prestigious institution. It is the result of their dedication andcommitment that this premier financial institution of the state is all set totouch new heights now. We need to preserve the core values of loyalty,dedication, compassionate human touch for customers, which has created a uniquebrand identity for the bank in the state and rest of India. Your services andcontribution to the J&K Bank’s growth shall always be remembered, respectedand held in high esteem.”

Hailing the role of ex-employees the chairman said “It is onlybecause of the contributions of our senior colleagues that the bank has grownfrom a small bank a few decades back to an institution of systemic importanceof the J&K state doing a business in excess of Rs 1.6 lakh crore providingdirect and indirect employment to thousands of families besides growth capitalto the entrepreneurs in nook and corner of the state.” 

Wishing a long and healthy retired life of the ex-colleagues thechairman announced “Long Live Our Pensioners Scheme” which will be rolled outpost regulatory clearances coinciding with the bank’s 80th year of operationswherein all the retired employees of the bank will be honoured/rewarded onattaining age of 80, 85, 90 and 100 years with Rs 80,000, Rs 85,000, Rs 90,000and Rs 10 lakh on the respective milestones.

Earlier the programme commenced by paying rich tributes to thedeparted members colleagues of the REWA during the previous year. SubsequentlyMohinder Singh, president of the association, highlighted the role of ParvezAhmed for his leadership qualities in steering the bank out of bad phase.

Vice president JKBOA Arjun Singh Rathore also spoke on theoccasion. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks presented byShPremParkash Gupta Secretary of J &K Bank REWA.
