The second anniversary of Skill Development Mission was celebrated at Arsh Institute of Health Sciences and Technology Khanmoh today.
Yudveer Sethi, incharge Skill Development, J&K was the chief guest, who encouraged students to take part in skill development courses.
"Skill India Mission launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is aimed at training youth in different fields so that they could learn, start working for themselves and even create jobs for other youth and contribute in economic development of their homes as well as state. There are many inspiring stories of youth from Kashmir that made others pursue these skill development courses."
After distributing certificates to about 300 youth in Kashmir on completion of their skill courses in different fields, Yudhvir Sethi said "Skill India was launched by Prime Minister to train over 40 crore youth for which National Skill Development Mission has been set up with different ministeries. National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Skill Loan scheme are also part of that scheme to help youth become self sufficient.
Yudhvir Sethi added youth from all 10 districts of Kashmir were trained this Skill India programmes which was held in collaboration with TATA Institute of Social Sciences and are likely to get jobs in near future ass well.
Chairman of the institute Anwar Khan and other faculty also participated in the function.
