The annual general body meeting of SKUAST-K Scientists and Teachers Association (SSTA) was held in the NundReshi convention centre of SKUAST-K, Shalimar in which scientists from different faculties, research centres and KVKs participated.
According to a statement, the meeting was presided over by president SSTA, SA Dar and Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-K, Prof Nazeer Ahmed was the chief guest on the occasion. In his address, President SSTA expressed his gratitude to VC, Registrar and university officers for their cooperation and positive approach in addressing the long pending issues of Career advancement scheme (CAS) for scientists.
Dar also outlined the problems and grievances of the scientific fraternity of SKUAST-K and urged the authorities to take steps for their redressal. Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-K in his address promised that all the problems confronting the scientific fraternity would be addressed under the ambit of university statues.
