The vice chancellor of University of Kashmir Talat Ahmad on Friday felicitated the university supported innovators who bagged awards and felicitations at J&K Startup Yatra function held at JKEDI on Friday.
According to a KU spokesperson, the V-C, while congratulating the awardees, hoped that the new innovations presented by the university innovators shall lead to establishment of startup companies in Kashmir which will go a long way to generate employment opportunities for the youth and serve as inspiration for others to follow.
The innovators scouted and supported at University of Kashmir (KU) bagged the highest number of state awards at innovative idea competition held at J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), Pampore.
The fifteen innovators scouted and supported at National Innovation Foundation (NIF) Cell-J&K and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), KU were awarded.
The KU supported innovators, who were awarded included Waseem Nadaf (Rs 1 Lakh), Mushtaq Ahmad Dar (Rs 40,000), Tasleema (Rs 30,000), Zubair Ahmad (Rs 30,000), Naseer Ahmad (Rs 20,000), Irshad Ahmad (Rs 20,000), Buchoo (Rs 30,000), Bisco (Rs 30,000), Rafiq Ahmad (Rs 40,000).
