Here’s a good news for women Jan Dhan Yojana account holders! The first instalment of Rs 500 will be deposited in their accounts starting from tomorrow. As announced in Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package to ease the hardship of the poor in view of the lockdown, a sum of Rs 500 per month will be deposited in the accounts of women Jan Dhan Yojana beneficiaries for three months.
To maintain social distancing and to ensure orderlywithdrawal of money by the beneficiaries, the banks will follow a schedule fordisbursing this money for this month. For beneficiaries whose Bank accountnumbers ending (for withdrawal):
Women Jan Dhan Yojana beneficiaries account holders havingaccount number with last digit as 0 or 1, date on which amount could bewithdrawn by the beneficiaries – 3.4.2020, 2 or 3 (account number with lastdigit) – Date: 4.4.2020, 4 or 5 – 7.4.2020, 6 or 7 – 8.4.2020, 8 or 9 –9.4.2020. And after 9th April, beneficiaries may withdraw any day at theirconvenience.”Also,request the beneficiaries to use the neighborhood ATMs with Rupay cards, BankMitras, CSPs as much as possible to avoid crowding at the branches,” it added.
