Jammu Kashmir Tourism Department is aggressively campaigning to woo tourists to this Himalayan paradise by showcasing the diverse tourism products and services of the state in different road shows and campaigns across India.
Tourism Secretary Farooq A Shah while leading the campaign in Lucknow today presented the unique and rich potential of Jammu Kashmir in pilgrim tourism shrines and other products like cuisine craft and adventure, according to an official statement.
"Jammu Kashmir is as diverse as the country and has everything to establish itself as the worlds one of the best round the year tourism destination," Shah said, while interacting with the media fraternity, travel trade and prominent citizens of the Lucknow.
He urged the visitors to come and enjoy the abundance of nature's best craft in Kashmir particularly focusing on the prevailing winter season which is abuzz with winter tourism activities like snow festivals in Gulmarg and Pahalgam.
He addressed the gathering and mentioned about the love of Lucknow people for food and heritage which Jammu Kashmir has in abundance.
The Secretary shared with the audience about the infrastructure development plans and projects which the State and GoI is working to make Jammu Kashmir one of the world's best tourist destination.
The road show in Lucknow was organized by JK Tourism Department in association with the houseboat owners association.
