Two persons were injured and one was feared drowned in river Chenab in separate road accidents on Jammu-Srinagar highway.
A loaded truck is feared to have fallen into Chenab after itskidded from the road near Duggipuli in the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Conductor of the truck identified as Omar Ahmed of Qaziqundwas found in injured condition on the bank of the river. He was rushed todistrict hospital Ramban. The driver identified as Muhammad Shafi of Qaziqundis feared to have been washed away by the currents of Chenab. The rescue and search operation for the drowneddriver has been launched by the police, local volunteers and SDRF.
