With an aim to discuss problems confronting the higher education sector in the state, a seminar was held at Government Degree College Kishtwar on Saturday.
Speakers on the occasion highlighted the infrastructural deficiencies and issues faced by students and faculty member of the college.
Member of Legislative Council Firdous Ahmad Tak was the chief guest on the occasion while as college Principal, Aftab Khan, faculty members and students were also present.
While addressing the gathering, Tak expressed happiness over the fact that local students are competing in academic and professional fields with their counterparts in rest of the state.
He highlighted the role of teachers as nation builders, urging them to strive for better future of the students.
Responding to demands raised on the occasion, the MLC assured to take up introduction of new subjects in the college as also fulfill its infrastructural needs.
