Six persons sustained injuries in two separate accidents on Jammu-Srinagar highway in Ramban district on Monday.
Police said an oil tanker bearing registration number JK18-9817 on way to Srinagar collided head on with a loaded Truck bearing registration number JK02AH-6265 at Batote this morning, leaving both the drivers injured who were later shifted to a local hospital for treatment.
The injured have been identified as Vikram Singh son of Jagdish Singh resident of Kulgam and Rattan Lal son of Balden Raj resident of Hiranagar. Both are responding to the treatment, doctors said.
In another accident, four persons got injured when a Maruti van they were travelling in slipped off the road and fell on the roof of a residential house at Karool here.
All four occupants were rescued by the locals with minor injuries, reports said.
Police have taken cognizance by registering FIRs under relevant sections at the local police station, an official said.
