A local youth here was released nine days after he was picked up by Counter Intelligence (CI) wing of police for his alleged Pakistan links and posting of provocative facebook posts.

Ashaq Khan, alias Ducha Khan, son of late Rehmatullah Khan of Haveli Mohalla Bhaderwah was picked up from his residence by a team of CI sleuths on 25 February.

"First, I was completely confused and scared that I will never come out and was worried about the future of my family. But I had a slight hope that I hold nothing wrong, so maybe there is some confusion. Now, after 9 days of questioning I am a free man and happy because I have come out clean," said Ashaq Khan after his release last night.

"I am determined and have a resolve that I will never use Facebook again and will appeal to my friends as well that if possible, don't fall into any sweet trap and please refrain yourself from using it," said Ashaq.

Meanwhile, his family and friends are rejoicing his release and reunion with kids and mother.

"I kept on praying for my son all these days and am thankful to everyone who supported us in these testing times," said Ashaq's mother Saleema Begum.
