Expressing gratitude to the present dispensation for initiating various people friendly measures in a short span of time, Member Legislative Council Firdous Tak Saturday called on Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and highlighted various issues confronting people of Chenab Valley.
The legislator welcomed the government's move to establish saffron village in Kisthwar, expedite work on the proposed Pakal Dool Hydel Project and Rs 90 Crore project to repair and upgrade Batote-Kishtwar-Sinthan Highway (1B). He said that the Chenab Valley residents were upbeat over the special attention of the present dispensation towards the economic and social upliftment of this backward region.
He said that Late Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayed was always keen to upgrade the basic infrastructure in the region and he had taken several measures in this direction. Choosing Kishtwar as one of the three districts for implementation of Ladli Beti Scheme, proposal to establish Skill Development Institute, special attention of tourism infrastructure, proposal to establish lake side resort at Baglihar beside other measures were taken in a very short span of time under his government, he said.
