Amarnath yatra arrangements reviewed at Ramban

SSP, Ramban Randeep Kumar, ADC, Babu Ram, ACR, Vevaik Puri, CPO, Parshotam Kumar, SDMs, Deputy Director F&E Services, 2 I/C 84 Bn CRPF, Surinder Singh Rana,Dy.SP Traffic Kameshwar Puri, Xens PWD, PHE, Langer organizations, district officers of different departments and officers of all security agencies, representatives of National Highway Authorities of India, four lanning projects and NGOs were present in the meeting.

During the meeting, the DDC directed Langer organizations to install CCTV cameras at the Langer sites, ensure hygiene, quality and condition of eatables. He also called for adequate sanitation and fire safety arrangements. The DDC further impressed upon them to provide Life Insurance cover to their Sewadars (workers) besides ensuring that there is no use of polythene bags, plastic material, tobacco, gutkha and liquor in langers areas.

He directed representatives of NHAI to display the sign boards of important contact numbers and information along the National highway.  The langer organization were directed to follow the standard operating procedures to ensure smooth service in langer areas.  

The DDC further directed Xen PWD to prepare temporary toilets at langer sites and designated yatra accommodation sites while Xen PHE was directed to arrange sufficient drinking water supply at langer locations.

All the officers especially those who are related with the arrangements for staying of yatris , healthcare, availability of Ambulances, uninterrupted power supply, sanitation and road maintenance were directed to avoid any kind of difficulty for smooth passage of vehicles during Yatra season. The concerned Police officers and Langer organizations were instructed to act promptly for avoiding any traffic jam in the area which may discomfort the passengers.

The DDC also reviewed security and traffic arrangements made enroute NHA1. SSP Ramban gave a brief and assured that all security arrangements have been made up to the mark while Dy SP Traffic also appraised the chair about regulation of traffic during yatra period.  

On the occasion, the power development department was directed to arrange power supply while PHE authorities were instructed to keep ready water tanker round the clock.

The DDC also directed all the essential services departments to maintain close coordination with yatra control room for providing timely services to the yatris.
