Unemployed Diploma and Degree holders from various streams on Wednesday alleged that sub-contractor companies of various projects under execution in this district are "deliberately depriving us of due share in employment under these projects."
They alleged that management of these companies are engaging engineers from out of the state "at the expense of local engineers which is completely against memorandum of understanding and conditions of a contract."
The aggrieved engineers said the Chairman of House Assurance Committee, MLA Banihal, had also taken up with management of contractor companies this issue and he had also sought details regarding granting employment to the local youths.
They alleged that the district administration is "acting like his masters voice when any complaint is submitted before them about highhandedness of these companies."
They warned that all unemployed engineers will hold a protest against management of contractor companies and district administration on 7th December.
