To show solidarity with the people of Kashmir and to resent the killings of civilians in security forces' firing on polling day in Central Kashmir, Anjuman-e-Islamia Bhadarwah in consultation with other Muslim organisations has appealed people of Chenab Valley to observe complete shutdown on Tuesday.

Anjuman-e-Islamia alleged that PDP-led government is following RSS agenda, due to which things are going from bad to worse as innocent Kashmiris are being killed every day by security forces. "Both Union and State governments instead of taking steps to initiate talks are showing aggression to suppress the people."

"We have given the shutdown call after consulting Anjuman-e-Islamia Gandoh and Imam Markazi Masjid Kishtwar as we have decided to observe 11th of April as solidarity day with people of Kashmir and to let both union and state government know that we stand for the cause of Kashmir and killing of our innocent brothers can't be tolerated. We have appealed to observe peaceful bandh and will also protest to lodge our resentment," said President Anjuman-e-Islamia Bhadarwah, Pervaiz Ahmed Sheikh.

"We have been trying to maintain utmost restraint but some agencies and RSS-backed government employees are hell bent to vitiate and polarize the peaceful atmosphere of Chenab Valley and Pir Panjal," Pervaiz added.

Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar, Farooq Ahmed Kichloo, has supported the shutdown call.
