CRPF today said that beside routine security measures, additional force along with new gadgets including 20 mobile jammers will be put in place to ensure a peaceful Amarnath Yatra beginning from June 29 in Jammu and Kashmir.
CRPF Inspector General A. V. Chouhan, in a press briefing here on Monday, said considering the present scenario of Kashmir Valley, extra deployment will be made all along the highway from Pathankot to Jwahar Tunnel while patrolling parties will be equipped with latest gadgets to tackle with any untoward situation.
"Although we are still in the planning stage but we will surely deploy some additional force depending on Srinagar situation as we are able to provide extra force at any stage and in the shortest notice," said IG CRPF A. V. Chouhan.
"To counter any threat especially along yatra route from Pathankot to Jwahar tunnel, we have purchased lot of new gadgets including 20 mobile jammers and a couple of static jammers which will be put in place along the highway beside army, they are also having lot of equipments and jammers also. We will also increase deployment and intelligence on the highway, "IG added saying that definitely we are going to take care of each and every yatri.
Beside arrangements of Amarnath yatra, IG CRPF A. V. Chouhan discussed the security situation and arrangements for the forthcoming yatra season including Kailash Yatra, Manimahesh Yatra, Trishul Bhaint Yatra and Machail Yatra with CO 4RR, CO CRPF 133Bn A.Padma Kumar, DIG CRPF Rakesh Sethi and SHO Bhadarwah Jatinder Sambyal beside officers of different intelligence wings.
IG CRPF was on a one day visit of Kishtwar and Bhadarwah where beside having an interaction with Media, IG inspected all four companies of 133Bn located at Bhadarwah. The visiting officer also attended a Sainik Sammelan at Police complex Bhadarwah.
