3 injured as vehicle rolls down gorge

Three persons sustained injuries after a vehicle they were travelling in rolled down a gorge, here on Tuesday.

A police officer said, “At about 6:30 pm, a Tata mobile, JK19 2037, en route Banihal from Khari, rolled down a deep gorge at Rampari near Chamalwas. As a result, three persons travelling in the vehicle sustained injuries.”

   

The officer identified the injured as Manzoor Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat and a resident of Thethar, Banihal, Liaqat Ali Khan @Bilal (driver), son of Ali Mohammad Khan and Zabir Ahmed, son of Ali Mohammad, both residents of Kaskoot, Banihal.

The injured were shifted to sub-district hospital, Banihal, from where they were shifted to Srinagar for advanced treatment.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
