8 injured in road accident near Gandoh
Eight persons were injured, three of them seriously when the Sumo car they were travelling in met with an accident near Daraie village in Bhalessa area of District Doda on Gandoh -Chenwari link road, on Wednesday afternoon.
As per police sources, a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK 06 – 6296 was on its way from Gandoh to village Chenwari, when it met with accident at Daraie reportedly after driver lost control over the vehicle on a sloppy cure and the vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a gorge resulting into injuries to eight persons.
" After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and along with locals started rescue operation and shifted all the injured persons to Sub District Hospital Gandoh, where they are responding to the treatment, when reports last came in," said Sunny Gupta, SDPO Gandoh.
"A case in this regard has been registered at Police Station Gandoh and investigation started," Sunny added.
The injured have been identified as Neesha D/o Om Singh R/o Chenwari Bhalesa, Mohd Ismail S/o Alla Detha Gujar R/o Chenweri Bhalesa,Reshma Bagum w/o Mohd Yakoob R/O Kansar Bhalesa, Mohd Yakoob S/o Mohd Ismail R/o Chassar Bhalesa ,Sakeena Bagum w/o Mohd Ismail R/o Chanser Rajpura, Bimla Devi w/o chain singh R/o Jotata Bhalesa,Vijay Kumar S/o Shaben Lal R/o Jatota Bhalesa,Megha Manhas, D/o Anil Kumar R/o Jotota Bhalesa
