Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) RambanRavinderNath Sadhu on Saturday paid a surprise visit to various government offices in the morning and found some employees absent from duties.
"During the inspection, some officials were found absent from their duties without a proper leave and permission, besides not maintaining their movement registers," an official spokesman said.
"Taking serious note of this, the ADDC ordered suspension of nine employees including five officials of ACD office including Junior Assistant, Zinat Khan, VLW RajitAnand Sharma, MPW, Parvaiz Ahmed and orderly, Sunil Sharma and five employees of BDO office which include AAO BishanDass, Junior Assistant, Dharam Singh, Programme Officer, ShahidHussain, Chowkidar, Prem Singh and Computer Operator, Nawaz Ahmed," the spokesman said.
"Further explanation has also been sought from Block Development Officer Ramban for his unauthorised absence from the office. Meanwhile ADDC has passed strict direction to the many other officers for not leaving their stations without permission and asked them to adhere to the office timing properly so that general public do not face any inconvenience," the spokesman added.
