Kishtwar Police have registered 18 fresh FIRs against the youth and two government employees for taking part in anti-government protests on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha in this frontier town, Police sources said.
They said the Police have named 18 persons, including two government employees, and several others in the FIR No. 174/2016 Dated 16-09-2016 registered at police station Kishtwar.
Pertinently, the fresh FIRs were registered on the basis of the report submitted by the duty magistrate U/S 196 Cr.Pc to the government. Those whose names have been included in the FIR are Abdul Qayoom Mattoo R/o Changroo Mohallah, Saif-ud-Din Baghwan R/O Baghwan Mohallah, Firdous Ahmed Hamami, Qari Manzoor Ahmed R/O Astan Pain, Shabir Ahmed Peer R/O near post office, Sayeed Asif R/O Astanbala at Present Tund, Mohammad Hussain aklias Raju R/O Sangrabata, Danish Ahmed Trak R/O Near Post Office, Ayaz Ahmed R/O Akhyarabad, Javed Ahmed R/O Sangrambata, Ashfaq Ahmed resident of Berwar, Zia Kichloo R/O Bunastan, Waseem Ahmed R/O Main Bazar, Syed Awan R/OAstan Bala, Rashid Gilkar R/O Near Jamia Masjid, Aqib Hussain R/O Traksana, Amjad Giri R/O Kamgar Masjid and Mohammad Ashfaq R/O Dugga. However no arrest have been made by the Kishtwar police in any FIR registered in past over two months.
Sources said that Police have already initiated the inquiry against the several government employees who took part in anti-India protest and had asked the Head of the Departments to withhold the salaries of all those employees till inquiry is completed.
