The newly appointed additional superintendent of police (ASP) and sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Bhaderwah held an introductory meeting with media fraternity of Bhaderwah on Monday.
The meeting was held in the premises of police complex Kotli, Bhadarwah, in which beside ASP Bhaderwah, Raj Singh Gouria, SDPO Bhaderwah, Iftkhar Ahmed and SHO Bhaderwah, Munir Khan, media persons associated with different print and electronic media participated.
In the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on several issues including awareness among masses about rumours, timber smuggling, drug abuse, traffic management, and strengthening of the relations between police and media.
ASP and SDPO assured the media person that all the issues discussed in the meeting will be taken care of.
The ASP sought feedback from the media persons on the issues pertaining to police working in the additional district so as to improve police efficiency for better public delivery system.
He also emphasised that those violating law in any sphere of activity shall be dealt with an iron hand to maintain public order in the district.
Others who spoke on the occasion include SHO Bhaderwah, Munir Khan and journalists Mansoor Qadir (UNI), Raja Rehber Jamal (State Times/ZEE), Sair Hussain (News 18 Urdu), Mohammad Majid Malik (Daily Udaan) and Sajid Tufail Lone (KPS).
