A one day awareness programme under organic farming was organized at Bhagwah by the agriculture department, sub division Pranoo.
The aim of the programme was to make the farmers aware about the benefits of organic farming.
The programme was held under the directions and guidance of chief agriculture officer, Doda, and sub divisional agriculture officer, Pranoo.
JAEO, Bhagwah, Dheeraj Singh along with other field functionaries was also present in the programme which was attended by fifty farmers drawn from various localities.
Dheeraj Singh provided detailed information and technical guidance to the farmers regarding organic farming and its benefits.
He asked the farmers to contribute towards promoting organic farming in the area.
The farming community appreciated the efforts of agriculture department in promoting organic farming in the area and urged the concerned authorities to organize such programs in future also for the benefit of farmers.
