Following the calendar of joint resistance leadership that has given a shutdown call to show solidarity with the people of Chenab Valley and Pir Panchal, Anjuman-e- Islamia Bhadarwah in consultation with other Muslim organisations of erstwhile district Doda has appealed to the people of Chenab Valley to follow the calendar of Hurriyat and to observe complete shutdown on 15th of October, Saturday.
Anjuman-e-Islamia alleged that increasing activities of RSS in Chenab Valley are making things volatile in otherwise peaceful erstwhile Doda district. The things are turning from bad to worse with each passing day and administration is mute spectator to all the instigation of communal forces. Both Union and State governments, instead of taking action against the provocative activities of RSS, is patronizing their unlawful activities in Chenab Valley.
"We have given a shutdown call after consulting Anjuman-e-Islamia Gandoh and Imam Markazi Masjid Kishtwar as Hurriyat Conference has decided to observe 15th October as solidarity day with Chenab Valley and Pir Panchal. We have appealed to observe peaceful bandh and will also protest within the premises of Markazi Jamia Masjid to lodge our resentment," said President Anjuman-e-Islamia Bhadarwah, Pervaiz Ahmed Sheikh.
"We have been trying to maintain utmost restraint but some agencies and RSS-backed workers are hell bent to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere of Chenab Valley and Pir Panchal. The recent road shows of armed RSS men at Doda, Kishtwar and Bhadarwah is clearly an attempt to polarize the society and to propagate their communal agenda," he added.
Anjuman-e-Islamia demanded that unlawful activities of communal RSS should be immediately banned otherwise it will have worst consequences in near future.
Meanwhile Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar, Farooq Ahmed Kichloo also supported the shutdown call of Hurriyat Conference and appealed people to observe complete shutdown on Saturday to show solidarity with Kashmir.
