The cleanliness drive was launched at Bhaderwah campus of Jammu University on Wednesday.
The drive was carried out by students and faculty under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in collaboration with local municipality.
“Apart from sweeping of roads and footpaths in the campus, drainage system was also thoroughly cleaned,” said a college spokesperson.
Rector Bhaderwah campus Prof. GM Bhat on the occasion emphasized over significance of maintaining hygiene in the surroundings.
“In future the drive would be extended to tourist destinations, “he said.
Meanwhile, Kho Kho tournament was also inaugurated on the occasion.
