Ramban town is under the grip of severe cold wave as the minimum temperature has fallen to 4.3 degree Celsius. A dense fog has also added to the woes of people.
This is the lowest temperature recorded in the town and its adjoining areas which is 3 degree below normal during winter season. Patnitop Sanasar Batote of Ramban district also registered a slight dip in the minimum temperature.
The night temperature in whole district is on decline with Banihal Neel Gool recorded low of minus 2 degree Celsius during night.
Majority of the people especially children and elders prefer to remain indoors due to cool breeze that prevails after sunset. Shopkeepers prefer to down shutters early to save themselves from chill.
