To prepare strategies for forthcoming elections and to honor the newly-elected Congress corporators of Bhaderwah municipal committee and party backed sarpanches and panches, district Congress Committee (DCC) Doda organized a daylong convention-cum-felicitation programme, here on Wednesday.
The function was organized under the chairmanship of Congress district president Sheikh Mujeeb Ali. On the occasion, a large number of office bearers, including senior leaders, corporators, sarpanches and panches were present.
Mujeeb Ali congratulated all the newly-elected public representatives and described it a victory of democracy and secularism.
While addressing the workers, he criticized the Modi-led central government and previous BJP-PDP state government “for failing on all fronts.”
Suhail Malik, Vijay Kumar, Nasir K Shah, Shabir Khan, Naveen Kotwal, Shoket Mir, NareshManhas and others were also present on the occasion.
