CRPF sends underprivileged students on Bharat Darshan

To extend their civic action programme to the most deserving and underprivileged students living in far-off areas, 33 battalion CRPF, sent 15 students, belonging to below poverty line (BPL), families of Bhaderwah on Bharat Darshan tour on Tuesday.

The ten-day tour was flagged off by P C Jha, DIG CRPF, along with Col D D Pandey, CO 4RR, ASP Bhaderwah, Rajinder Singh, and CEO BDA, Rajinder Kumar Khajuria, from Community Hall, Kotli.

Speaking on the occasion, A Padama Kumar, CO CRPF 33 Battalion, said, “The tour is primarily aimed to give exposure to the most deserving, underprivileged students living in mountains.”

“These students have never gone beyond Jammu and some of them are even moving first time outside Bhaderwah. For these students, it’s like a dream come true to move beyond hills to the coasts of Visakhapatnam,” he added.

After flagging off, while speaking to reporters, DIG CRPF, Prabhat Chandra Jha, said, “Visakhapatnam is the largest navy yard and our motive is to take these underprivileged students there and other places, including Delhi. It will expose them to the developments across the country and also let them understand different cultures.”
