A complete shutdown is being observed today for the second consecutive day in Kishtwar region of Jammu and Kashmir against petitions challenging the validity of Article 35 A.
The shutdown call issued by the Joint Resistance Leadership was supported by the Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar Farooq Ahmad Kitchloo and Chenab Valley Traders Association.
All shops and other business establishments, private institutions were closed while public and private transport remained off the roads.
The Supreme Court has deferred hearing of the petitions challenging the Article 35-A until the last week of August.
