A media workshop was held here on Wednesday to acquaint the media fraternity with use and features of EVM and VVPAT machines, ahead of the ensuing elections.
The district development commissioner AnshulGarg interacted with media persons and urged them to make the public aware about the latest developments of ECI, in order to make elections transparent and voter friendly.
Master trainer, Fayaz Mehta, elaborated on the use of VVPAT and EVM and ensured that the machine is tracked at every point and is not supported by any other software, thus making it hack proof.
The nodal officer gave a brief of the activities taken under SVEEP and asked the media to give vide publicity to the activities and toll-free number 1950 established at DDC office, to answer the issues related to voters and election. Assistant nodal officer BetiBachaoBetiPadhao, DSWO also spoke at the event and shared the activities taken by district administration.
