A septuagenarian man died after an LPG cylinder exploded at his residence in Halla Khari village of Ramban District, police said.
Police identified the deceased as Abdul Aziz (70) son of Ahmedullah of Halla village of Khari Tehsil in Ramban District.
Police said that the elderly man sustained severe burn injuries after a domestic LPG cylinder at his residence leaked and caught fire leading to a powerful explosion.
He was immediately shifted to Kashmir based hospital for advanced treatment where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Reportedly, the house of the elderly man also damaged partially.
