‘Employ one member of each family affected by Pakal Dul Power Project’

Chenab Power Projects Workers Union today demanded that one member of each family, whose land and houses have come under the alignment of Pakal Dul Hydroelectric Power Project, should be given permanent job in Chenab Valley Power Projects Pvt Limited (CVPPL).

The demand was raised by the unemployed youth of District Kishtwar who assembled today at Parade Ground Kishtwar under the banner of Chenab Power Projects Workers Union to highlight their issues.  

   

The youth urged upon the management of AFCONS Infrastructure Pvt limited to engage only locals in Pakal Dul Hydroelectric Project and not bring outsiders for jobs.

They demanded that locals should be engaged in all categories of jobs like highly skilled, skilled, semi skilled, unskilled etc.

They also urged upon the management of AFCONS to set up its office in Kishtwar town so that the unemployed local youth could easily submit their applications for jobs in the project instead of going to Dul Dam site which is a prohibited area.

Joginder Bandari Rinku Sen, Gh. Hussain Gannie, Anil Sharma, Jaffar Butt, Sardar Satpal Singh, Ajay Sharma, Mohd Ashraf Gannie, Farooq Lone,Tariq Patri, Shanker Saroop Wazir, Ranjeet Sharma, Surjeet Singh Badyal, Hafiz Mattoo, Sanjay Bhagat, Rajinder Shan and others spoke on the occasion.
