EVM-VVPAT awareness training held

In order to spread electoral literacy among voters, a training-cum-awareness programme on EVM-VVPAT was organized under SVEEP, here on Wednesday.

In the meeting, held at Conference Hall of New DC office Complex, media persons, members of NGOs and civil societies participated.

   

The programme was organized under the supervision of district electoral officer (DEO), Angrez Singh Rana. 

While interacting with the participants, the DEO asked them to fully acquaint themselves with the handling procedure and various aspects of the machines.

He stated that the bear 100 percent transparency. He further asked them to pass the message to the general public, in order to ensure maximum voter turnout in the upcoming elections. 

The nodal officer, SVEEP, DPO Kishtwar, Sunil Bhutyal, made the participants aware about SVEEP programme, toll free helpline number 1950 and www.nvsp.in website and appealed all the participants to popularize the same.

A brainstorming session was also held, wherein various queries were raised by the participants.

The master trainers imparted training to participants about handling of EVM-VVPAT in a practical manner and through audio-visual mode.

Meanwhile, similar training sessions were held at all tehsil headquarters of the district.

ADC Kishtwar, Pawan Kumar Parihar, ACD Kishtwar, Anil Kumar Chandail, tehsildar Kishtwar, Shokat Matoo, BDO Kishtwar, Arun Badyal, and ALMTs, besides others were also present on the occasion.
