Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar, Farooq Ahmed, who is also a chairperson of Muslim Shoura Committee Kishtwar, during the Friday prayers today condemned the statement of Deputy Chief Minister and BJP senior leader Kavinder Gupta who described the gruesome rape and murder of 8-year-old girl from Kathua as “minor issue”.
Gupta, who soon after taking oath in Mehbooba Mufti-led government, had called Kathua rape and murder as a “small matter.”
During his speech, Imam also condemned the Aligarh Mulsim University controversy regarding picture of Mohd Ali Jinnah.
