After remaining closed for around six months due to snowfall, Kishtwar -Sinthan-Anantnag Road was today thrown open for vehicular traffic.
“The road is now open for traffic after clearance of snow at Sinthan Top,” sources said. They said that many light vehicles today passed the Sinthan Top and also moved towards Kishtwar.
The road usually opens for traffic in first week of April. It was closed in November onwards.
“The Sinthan Top and its adjacent areas received heavy snowfall this winter due to which the road remained closed,” an official said.
