The labourers working with a railway company staged a protest at Dugga in Arnas of Friday, to press for their demands, which included release of pending wages and special tunnel allowance.
While the protest was going on, a team of police reached the spot. On seeing the cops, the protestors started pelting stones at them. As a result, two policemen sustained injuries, while the windows of the office of the railway company also broke.
The injured police personnel have been identified as SPO Shabir Ahmed and senior grade constable Amlook Singh.
