Jammu and Kashmir police Sunday claimed to have arrested a man and recovered 10 kilograms of cannabis from his possession.
A police officer said, “On receiving an information, a teamled by station house officer, Ramban, Vijay Kotwal, laid a checkpoint on theMehar-Neera link road. During checking, a man, on seeing the police, tried toflee from the spot. He was chased down by the alert cops and upon his search,10 kilograms of cannabis was recovered.”
The officer identified the accused as Mohammad Shafi.
“An FIR has been registered and police are investigating thecase further,” the officer said.
