The Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday claimed to have arrested a man and recovered “hashish-like substance” from his possession, here in Bhaderwah.
The police said, “A checkpoint was laid at Chinar Mohalla on Eidgah Road. During checking, a man, who was coming suspiciously from Sungli towards Bhaderwah, was stopped. On searching his belongings, 95-gram hashish-like substance was recovered from his jacket.”
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Rafiq, the police said, adding that the man had been booked previously, in 2011, for possessing narcotic substances.
