Municipal polls: BJP candidate dies of heart attack after casting vote in Ramban

A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from ward two of Ramban municipality in Jammu and Kashmir suffered cardiac arrest on Wednesday.

Reports said that the candidate, Azad Singh Raju died soon after casting his vote at Sunaari mohallah in Ramban town during the ongoing second phase of municipal elections.

   

A retired employee, Singh was 62.

Meanwhile, over 12 per cent votes were polled in four wards of Banihal municipality till 8 am.
