The family of a Special Police Officer (SPO) in Bhadarwah area of Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir had a narrow escape after a cedar tree got uprooted and fell on their house due to heavy snowfall on Thursday.
Reports said the tree fell on the double storey house of the family in Chakka area of Bhadarwah today afternoon.
When contacted, ASP Bhadarwah Rajinder Singh, while confirming the incident said that the house of SPO Fareed Ahmed of Chakka area was damaged in the incident.
He said that the neighbours rushed to the house and helped the family of Fareed to escape unhurt.
