A demonstration was held at Kwar Tanzi in Nagseni by the land owners of Pakul Dul Power Project to lodge their protest against the district administration, contractors and sub-contractor companies.
The protesters alleged, “The authorities are playing with our sentiments by giving us only fake promises. Our Shamlat land compensation is still pending and our 50% compensation is pending at the ACR Office.”
While addressing the gathering, Subash Chander said, “The company, in their recent appointments, claimed that they have appointed 80% land owners. This is totally untrue and the authorities are not following proper guidelines of RR Plan.”
The protesters request the Governor N N Vohra, Advisor to Governor and Divisional Commissioner to look into the issue and mitigate their problems at an earliest. “We will continue to protest till our genuine demands are met,” they said.
Kishori Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Vinay Dhar, Suresh Kumar, Fulail Singh and Randep Bhandari were also present in the protest.
