The land owners, affected by Pakal Dul Project Kishtwar, on Thursday held a demonstration against the contractor companies for not fulfilling their demands.
The affected families, in association with Project Affected Local Area Committee, held a demonstration and also stopped all ongoing works of the contractor companies at power house site of Pakal Dul Project, Kishtwar.
Subash Chander and Farooq Tapal, both representatives of Project Affected Local Area Committee, said that the contractor company management is only giving assurances and not fulfilling the promises made to the affected people.
The protesters requested the Governor NN Vohra to look into the genuine issues of people whose land has been acquired for the project.
