Police-Public meet held in Bhaderwah

The police public meet was held in Bhaderwah here on Wednesday.

The meet was held at Dak Banglow Bhaderwah in which deputy inspector general of police (DIG) DKR range, Rafiq ul Hassan; SSP Doda, Shabir Ahmed; ASP Bhaderwah, Rajinder Singh; SDPO Bhaderwah, Aadil Rishu; SHO Bhaderwah, Muneer Khan; and representatives from civil society, religious organizations and political parties participated. 

   

“The aim of the meeting was to strengthen the relations between police and public,” said a police spokesperson. 

The public delegation urged police to keep a check on problems including drug menace, traffic chaos, wrong parking, riding without helmets, driving without helmets, separate parking place for light vehicles instead of Seri Bazar Bhaderwah, police patrolling during school hours, organizing sports events activities in rural areas and installation of CCTV cameras at tuition points.

Later, DIG Hassan assured them that police would involve public in decision making on the basis of Kerala model.
