The residents of Rajgarh area of Ramban today demanded new transformers and electric poles to cover un-electrified houses. 

The demand was raised by the people before District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban, Showkat Aijaz Bhat during  his extensive tour of Rajgarh tehsil. 

The DDC was accompanied by the Tehsildar, Rajgarh,  Parmod Kumar, BDO, Rajgarh and officers of various departments. 

During his day long visit, the DDC met numerous public deputations to take first hand appraisal of public grievances and also reviewed the development scenario of the area. 

The locals apprised the DDC about several issues including installation of new transformers and electric poles for connecting left out houses with power supply properly, completion of Rajgarh road, shortage of portable drinking water, augmentation of water and power supply schemes etc. 

Responding to the demands, the DDC assured the people that the augmented transformer shall be installed shortly in area. 

He further assured them that all their genuine demands shall be redressed in a time bound manner. He directed the concerned officers to pay regular visits to remote and far-flung areas besides ensuring the quality of developmental works. 

The DDC further asked the locals to provide land for developing play field in the area to provide a playing opportunity to youth.
