Residents of Ramban town are up in arms against the authorities for their  alleged failure to provide the town with basic amenities.

Inhabitants while talking to Greater Kashmir said that whole town needs to be given a face lift by widening streets and by lanes which were nowhere existent as the residential houses have been constructed in haphazard manner in some wards which are just opposite to PHE Sub Division Office Government Higher Secondary School Upper Bazar.

They said that drains at several places have been choked and do not allow filthy water to flow freely. “This filthy water at times flows on to the streets and roads thereby creating problems for pedestrians and people living in the vicinity,” they added.
